I just read through all my blog entries. It’s so cute to see how I talked and acted 4 years ago…so long ago, and yet, it’s like it was yesterday. Not to sound cliche, but how else am I to say it?
Anyways, it’s ridiculous to see how inactive I was from around mid 2007 - February 2009. And yeah, I know there are no blog posts in February, but that’s when I started getting back on this site and bombarding the bbs boards, lol.
Anyways, as I’ve mentioned before, I am very excited about The Sims 3. There are definatly some aspects I’m currently dissapointed in, but the new sim personality options and the way the act and react to things sounds great!
The one thing I’m worried about is if custom content will be as extensive as it was in The Sims 1 & 2. Because of all the body sizes and stuff, it will be really hard for creators to make new meshes, and I swear I will die without any Lolita clothing. Also, as I’ve heard from users, Ea seems determined to limit users from creating custom content, possibly because they think they are losing money from it (How so??)…I think that creators are the ones losing money, buying all the games AND buying stupid $50 meshing programs and stuff. Plus alot of them have to open up and pay for their own sites…whatever, big companies are ridiculous and care only about money. Stupidity I say, stupidity.
On top of it all I’ve heard that Will Wright and Maxis have had nothing to do with The Sims 3. Or most of The Sims 2. It’s sad, really, I almost cried about a year ago when I realized the Maxis logo no longer appeared when the game started up. Stupid Ea…no wonder the new Sims games have become so generic, the mastermind Will Wright and his company Maxis are no longer providing the creativity for them to make great Sims games!
God frick, it upsets me. But it’s ok…if the Sims 3 is better than the Sims 2 or the Sims 1, I’ll be happy. I just hope Ea gets more creative with expansion packs. The Sims 2 expansion packs were so boring, but The Sims 1 expansion packs, now those were worth buying. Talk about creativity, fun, and a wise investment.
If there’s any reason to buy the Sims 3 (after I’ve learned about how most community lots are now stupid rabbit holes, and the possibility of an extreme limit on custom content) it’s the new personalities. I can’t wait to make insane sims…
